The ultimate 2 x 4 USB audio interface for Mac and Windows
With its two inputs and four outputs, Focusrite's Forte provides a compact, rugged and effective path to and from your computer with the maximum possible audio quality from mic, line and instrument sources. In particular, Forte delivers exceptional dynamic range and noise floor – important in today's world of an almost unlimited number of tracks making up a mix – and class-leading conversion performance, making sure you always sound your best in your recordings.
Dual Focusrite mic pres and world-class conversion
The Forte USB 2.0 interface includes two of the latest design of Focusrite's remote-controlled microphone preamplifiers, based on those used in our flagship RedNet range, with a heritage that goes back 30 years. Forte incorporates highest-quality precision 24-bit A-D and D-A converters operating at sample rates up to 192kHz, featuring an advanced design implemented with multi-layer boards alongside careful component choices and layout to ensure maximum performance and minimum noise and distortion. Suitable for almost any digital audio workstation, with the included Red 2 and Red 3 AAX plugins Forte also forms a perfect partner for Pro Tools.
A heritage of audio excellence…
Forte takes its name from the original Focusrite console that embodied all the fundamental elements of the renowned Focusrite heritage sound. The original Forté was the Focusrite studio console based on the ground-breaking mic pre and compression modules that Rupert Neve created for AIR Studios in the mid-1980s. Designed to offer the very highest audio path quality regardless of cost, the Forté console established the benchmarks for mic preamplifiers and dynamic control that remain unequalled today. The Forte USB audio interface continues the Focusrite obsession with sound quality.
